West Sussex Integrated Community Equipment Services has achieved a perfect score in an external health and safety audit.
The team, based at Littlehampton, were visited by Michelle Lock, Service Relationship Manager for West Sussex Council earlier this month received 100% from the inspection which focused on NRS Healthcare’s management systems, policies, procedures, communications and competence.
Mike Cutler, Service Centre Manager for West Sussex, said:
“I am extremely proud of the team and in particular the Compliance Coordinator who makes sure we are up to date with all aspects of health, safety and the environment, training and compliance.”
Simon Jones joined NRS Healthcare as Head of Health, Safety and Environment earlier this year. He said:
“The audit included both a site visit and walkaround as well as a look at our documents and i-Auditor system and we scored 100% which is brilliant. We showcased how we use i-Auditor and the new features such as the Head Up videos, which I introduced to keep people informed of any updates or news, streamlined audit templates and our support of the RoSPA Fall Fighters campaign.”
This is a business wide campaign to train our staff to help prevent falls, which are the biggest cause of accidental injuries in the home and the largest cause of accidental detail amongst over 65s in the UK. By empowering our staff to help others understand why falls happen, we can help to prevent them.
