NRS Healthcare has won two new Integrated Community Equipment Services (ICES) contracts with existing customers.

Doncaster Council has awarded NRS a new five-year contract, with a possible further two-year extension, which will begin on Monday 6th March.

This service supports those in the community to live independently by providing daily living, toileting and bathing equipment, home nursing equipment such as beds and mattresses, moving and handling equipment such as hoists and stand aids, mobility aids, paediatric equipment pressure relieving equipment and support for those with sensory loss.

The service was first awarded to NRS by Doncaster in 2014 and will continue to operate from the existing Service Centre.

Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council, together with Dorset Council also awarded NRS the Pan Dorset Community Equipment Service for five years, with a possible further two-year extension. The new contract begins on 1st April. NRS Healthcare has a long history of delivering ICES for BCP and Dorset, with the first ICES contract for BCP starting over 18 years ago, continuing and expanding through successive re-procurements.

The new service will also include minor adaptations, ceiling track hoist installations as well core ICES activities.

It is an exciting time for NRS Healthcare, which has also seen successful wins in the past year from existing customers in Buckinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Brighton and Hove and Torbay, and has been chosen to be the provider of the Community Equipment Service by new customers Plymouth Council and the London Consortium covering 21 London boroughs.
